What is the Rental Process?

Reserve/book your favorite ride directly on our website.  Full Payment must be made to reserve your bike.  When you arrive at the shop (Please try to arrive 15-30 min ahead of your rental period) we will make a copy of you license, verify your motorcycle “M” endorsement, if required.  You will also be required to register and pay the $35 daily rate for motorcycle insurance. To expedite checkout on ride day, you can visit https://mbainsurance.net/motorcycle/ within 7 days of your rental period to pay ahead for the insurance.

What is Included with a rental?

Your rental includes rental half helmets for both rider and passenger, 24 hours on the motorcycle and 400 miles! 3 days or more have unlimited mileage.  Gloves, full-face helmets, leather jackets and other riding gear will be available for rental or purchase.   A $35/day charge for insurance must be paid separately via MBA insurance.  After completing your rental booking, you will be directed to MBA Insurance to purchase a rider addendum.  This policy can only be purchased within 7 days of your rental.  If you are booking your rental outside of 7 days, you will get a reminder to purchase your rider insurance.  You can also purchase it in the shop upon arrival, but having this completed ahead of time will save you time during the cycle checkout process.

What happens in the case of a breakdown?

Customers are offered 24 hour roadside assistance coverage at time of booking and at the shop before checkout.  Coverage is provided by MTS.

  • Include mechanical and electrical issues that renders the motorcycle un-rideable, i.e., run out of fuel, jump start, mechanical failure, electrical failure, flat tire, accident, etc. These disablements will be covered, in full, to one of two locations, a rental company/owner’s location or repair facility, whichever is nearest.

  • Include any non-disablement calls, i.e., rider not wishing to continue his rental due to illness or injury, schedule changes, locked saddlebags, lost keys, weather, etc. These issues will be covered in full at the time of the incident. However, the entire cost of the tow will be billed back to the Rental Company or paid at the time of service by the renter.

Picking up, dropping off & parking

When you arrive to pick up your motorcycle, we will have a little bit of paperwork to go over and sign. After we’ve signed the rental agreements and contracts, together we will walk around the motorcycle, teaching you all about the particular model you’ve selected, and marking down damages and mileage. We can gladly provide you with some great Tahoe area routes on a motorcycle, and we are more than happy to take a few pictures of you on your dream motorcycle before you take off!

Upon your return, we love hearing the stories and seeing any pictures of where you took our beautiful motorcycles.  We will together do another walk around the motorcycle double checking for any damages that may have occurred. Fuel tank must be refilled or pre-paid.

Parking is very limited at Rolling Freedom Motorcycles.  If you plan to park a vehicle during your rental period, free parking is available across the street in the Douglas County public garage.

How often do you service & maintenance?

All of our vehicles are regularly serviced and maintained by Testa Motorsports located at 1581 U.S. Hwy 395 N, Minden, NV 89423. We take pride in making sure all of vehicles are kept in top-notch condition.

We understand that things happen.  If your plans change and you need to cancel your reservation, Rolling Freedom Motorcycles will offer a credit for the full amount of your rental.  This credit is good for one year.
